Hey my lovelies,
Today, I want to take you on a little journey—my journey into the world of blogging. It all began during a time when the world seemed to have paused: the COVID-19 pandemic. I was pregnant with my third child, away from my husband, and feeling a mix of emotions I had never experienced before. It was a period filled with uncertainty, loneliness, and a whole lot of introspection. My days were spent juggling the needs of my two older daughters, managing a household, and trying to stay sane amid the chaos.
Ever since I can remember, I’ve always loved writing. I used to keep diaries where I’d pour out my thoughts, dreams, and little everyday moments. It was my safe haven, a space where I could be myself without any judgments. As the world slowed down, I found myself turning to writing once again, but this time, it wasn’t just in my diary.
I started by sharing recipes on Instagram. Cooking was and is always a therapeutic activity for me, and I thought, why not share these little joys with others? The response was heartwarming! People loved and their encouraged me. And this, planted a seed in my mind—what if I could do more? What if I could create a space where I share not just recipes, but all my experiences and insights? What if I could write my heart out?

And so, my blog was born! The idea of helping others solve those petty little issues we all face daily was exhilarating. I was enthusiastic, bursting with ideas and energy. I felt like I had found a new purpose, a new way to connect with the world. Different ideas, topics and words started brainstorming my mind.
But being pregnant during a pandemic was no walk in the park. I remember one evening vividly; I was in the kitchen, trying out a new recipe I wanted to post on Instagram. My two older daughters were running around, laughing, and playing, but I felt this overwhelming sense of loneliness. My husband was miles away, and the uncertainty of when we’d be reunited weighed heavily on me. Writing and cooking became my solace.
One particular recipe, a simple yet comforting lentil dish, stands out. Sharing that recipe on Instagram, along with the story behind it, brought a wave of responses from people who had similar memories and experiences. It was in those moments I realized the power of storytelling and connection through blogging.
As my due date approached, the excitement and anxiety grew. I was preparing for a newborn while managing a blog and taking care of my girls. One night, as I sat down to write a post, I felt a sharp kick from my baby. It was as if she was reminding me that soon, life was going to change again. And of course, it did. When my third daughter was born, the joy was indescribable, but so were the sleepless nights and the whirlwind of responsibilities.
I remember trying to jot down a few blog ideas during those early weeks postpartum, but I felt like my mind was on a stand-by. Have you ever been so tired that even forming a sentence felt like a Herculean task? That was me! And so, Blogging took a backseat as I navigated the chaos and beauty of welcoming a new life into the family. But I was firm that I would not let go my passion this easy and I gave it a rest.
Fast forward to today, with my kids now at school-going age, I’ve found a renewed sense of purpose. I came back to blogging for myself, to reignite that spark of passion I had almost lost. Writing gives me peace of mind, a chance to evaluate my feelings, and, most importantly, a break from the daily routine of chores. It’s something I do just for me, and it’s incredibly fulfilling.
So here I am, sharing my journey with you. Have you ever started something and then had to put it on hold because life got in the way? How did you find your way back? I’d love to hear your stories! Blogging has become a beautiful part of my life, and through it, I hope to inspire and help others in their own journeys.
Blogging isn’t just about sharing information; it’s about creating a community. It’s about connecting with people who share similar experiences and learning from each other. Every post I write is a piece of my heart, and if at all it resonates with my readers it’s all worthwhile. If you’re considering starting a blog, I encourage you to take the plunge. Share your stories, your passions, your knowledge. You never know who you might inspire or help along the way!!
Thank you for being a part of my small community, for reading and for helping me grow. Let’s continue and support each other in this incredible journey of life! Keep writing, keep sharing, and keep inspiring. Together, we can make the world a little brighter, one blog post at a time.
Stay Fabyoulous !!!!
